Maple Old Fashioned

If cozy was a flavor it would taste like this Maple Old Fashioned. Absolutely perfect for this time of year, this cocktail will give you all the fall feels. A recipe from The United States of Cocktails by Brian Bartels and share withus by Amanda at A Cookie Named Desire.

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • ¼ ounce cherry liqueur
  • ¼ ounce maple syrup
  • 3 dashes toasted pecan bitters
  • orange peel
  • cherries for garnish
  • ice


  1. Stir together the bourbon, cherry liqueur, and maple syrup with ice an a cocktail shaker until chilled.
  2. Strain into a chilled rocks glass with fresh ice.
  3. Top with the bitters.
  4. Add the cherries, and squeeze the orange peel to release its oils into the cocktail before placing it into the glass.
  5. Enjoy immediately.
